Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or ‘Tapping’ is a simple mind/body technique that can help to free us from debilitating conditions and challenges. 

  EFT can be effective for:

  • anxiety

  • grief and pain

  • developing healthy relationships with yourself and/or your body

  • physical ailments

 

The method of Tapping draws on the wisdom of Eastern acupressure and Western psychology to address psychological, physical and performance challenges. 

 

As Dr Gabor Mate explains, “trauma is not what happens to you, it's what happens inside you as a result of what happened to you”.  EFT is a non-invasive therapy that gently removes the emotional charge around past events or current difficulties.  We are not trying to change the past; but it's possible to process the experience of past events or acknowledge lingering emotions and move beyond limiting circumstances into an empowered state of self-compassionate agency.

  • EFT is enhanced by our willingness to take personal responsibility for ourselves.  

  • Sessions are confidential as with any traditional therapies.

  • Tapping is a powerful stress-managing, calm-enhancing tool that can be learned in a short time and used anywhere, any time.

I am running free group sessions for people to have an  experience with EFT for stress reduction in a community setting.  These workshops are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience with Tapping.  You will learn the basics of EFT to use when you need.
The nature of Tapping allows for the process to remain as private as you want, even when tapping in a group setting.

I enjoy the combination of energy work, art and science.  I'm passionate about empowerment and sharing practical, solution-focused skills to support people in reducing everyday stress and anxiety.

I think healing in community is needed now more than ever and EFT in groups can be deeply nourishing as well as affordable and remains a personal and private experience within the group.
